Beloved father of Pepi, Shushi, Tony and Neena; Big Daddy to Sona, Pancho, Vikram, Esha, Aman, Kavan, Amal and Arman; Big Big Daddy to Rowan, Karan, Daya and Arjan.
He loved his siblings fiercely. He cared deeply for his sisters and thrived in the company of his brothers.
He sought distant lands through his travels across the world.
He knew more about geography and history than anyone we knew – he was our very own encyclopedia at our fingertips.
He was happiest in the company of others, be it his family, friends and perfect strangers. He could make conversation, discuss politics and laugh with his fully belly with just about anyone.
We are so privileged to have had our lives touched and shaped by Amrik. He was larger than life and no man can ever measure up to his love of family and zest for life. We will forever miss him and take comfort in knowing that his soul has found his brothers, who he missed tremendously.
His grandchildren will be forever indebted to him and will take pieces of him throughout our life; every cup of Tim Horton’s coffee or chai, every math problem, every journey across the world, every jovial laugh will be in his honour.
